James Bearhart

James Bearhart is a writer/director and recent graduate of AFI (SCR 2022), the world's #1 ranked film school. A Sloan screenplay winner and fellow for his script 'Kokoro' about a dysfunctional Irish family, he also won a grant through the prestigious SFFilm Development Fund for his pitch 'Visible' about a scientist who discovers a frog that can turn invisible. He was selected for the inaugural Telluride Education Lab, as well as the National Academy of Sciences writers-retreat, where he was paired with a Quantum physicist (and consultant for Ant-Man) to develop a script in real-time. His directorial debut, 'Woman's Best Friend,' a silent comedy about a woman's consistent bad taste in men, has won several awards. He is based in LA, where he is shooting his first feature, 'End of,' a modern take on the seven deadly sins.
